I also remember reading of using pure O2 to help night vision. Remember, the FAA suggests using O2 above 6000 feet at night to improve night vision. Its worth a try. ________________________________ From: Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: utah astronomy utah astronomy listserve <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, April 7, 2013 1:14 AM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] O2 and observing I seem to remember a report about someone breathing pure oxygen in an attempt (apparently successful) to see fainter objects through a telescope at night. Anyone else heard this? I'm thinking that if it is true I might bring my aircraft's portable oxygen system to SPOC and use it while using the Grim to see if it makes any difference. patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
