From the UofU South Physics Obs on a Meade LX200 10inch at 50 power, I visually saw 2011 MD streak across an 0.7 deg TFOV at the 1:00am ephemeris position for SLC. The asteroid was an unambiguous target in the 12-13 mag. range. It was really booking and only took about 4 to 5 secs to cross the eyepiece view. The NASA JPL NEO calculator estimates 2011 MD's relative velocity to the Earth at 17UT at 6.7 km/s. Clear Skies - Kurt
