You and John Zeigler had the right idea. It was taken between 3rd and 4th contact of the total eclipse of 16 FEB 1980. We were driving back to base camp and I noticed sunlight passing through the tiny holes in the speaker grill (the speaker itself was missing) and making mini eclipses on the floor. And in case anyone is wondering, no the picture was not reversed. The driver was sitting on the right. We were in Kenya at the time and they drive on the left over there. Patrick
