Some time last year about 3:30 in the afternoon, while driving, I saw a bright green fireball traveling in an eastwardly direction. This left a trail behind it that dissipated in less than a minute. Unfortunately since I was on a freeway entrance ramp, once it disappeared off the top of the windshield, I was unable to pull over and get a better look. Even still, it was a very neat experience. I have seen daylight meteors several times, but never one that left a visible train (in the daylight, that is) until yesterday. What I saw was a "streak" of what appeared to be contrail, except it was only about 10-degrees long. It looked just like a cosmic artist drew a quick "slash" of contrail. No bright light from the meteor itself, just the train, then it drifted and dissipated over the next 20 minutes. Looked just like a white, daytime version of what some of us have seen at night many times. Anyone else? C. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Yahoo!
