Do any of you on this list know anyone with one of the newer Celestron Nextstar scopes?
I've sent my reply already to this guy, but I don't know who has one of these scopes. Please CC me if you reply to him. Thanks,

Rich, My name is John Renstrom and I have been checking out various kinds of scopes over the past year...I have found that I am most interested in Celestron's Nexstar series... I have been waging a battle over this past year...This is my first scope so I want to be conservative and try and keep it cheap...However, I can't help but get tempted by the Nexstar 8 and Nexstar 11 models...I especially like the GPS features... I was hoping that you might shed a little light on this subject for me...I really don't mind spending the money on the Nexstar 11, but I can't help but think I might be over buying since I am just busting into this hobby. I am sure that I will be happy with any one of these scopes, but long-term, I know that I will eventually want to get into photography...I have read a lot of articles about people wanting to upgrade due to this reason alone... I would like to start attending the upcoming events and would love to be able to see some of these scopes in action...Do you know if any local members currently own Nexstar scopes? I would also like to get added to the email list... Thanks,John RenstromJohnRenstrom@Hotmail.com
