Did you all read the text? Can you imagine grinding the primary mirror: "a 31-inch f/1 spherical primary mirror"; that is a sagitta of 1.9375 inches!! If those mirrors were ground, that was a lot of glass to remove. Slumping would be the way to do it. But do ya think there was a little bit of coma with that setup? Interesting camera. It would have been very fun to work on a project like that.
