Yikes, talk about picky, picky picky. Digistar has its advantages (and disadvantages - star size - yeah yeah) . Agreed, there is no excuse for errors in the shows.
Point of order here, it was Ziggy who was complaining and I hope who you addressed your comment to, Joan. You didn't quote anyone. Having never been to Clark, I obviously have nothing to complain about. I am pretty nostalgic for Hansen's early days, however, but that's because it was a more "magical" time in my life. And Dr. Littman was always very kind to me, and went out of his way to help me in any way he could. I guess I'm talking about the days prior to '76 or so. Come to think of it, I only ever saw one or two demonstrations of the Digistar 1 when it was first installed. It didn't really "wow" me at the time, as I recall. I was so used to the sky of the old projector that the new one never felt quite right. Then college, life, and work pretty much took over my time and the planetarium became a memory, except for occassional SLAS meetings, until the club moved to a new venue.
