Morning Jerry, A couple of folks on the C-14 list have talked about converting their cameras. But they're thinking more along the lines of somehow bringing the focal plane outside the OTA using a diagonal and then adding a field flattener. But, hey, I'm an old foggie who seems to like old stuff (the airplane I fly at the DZ was made in the 50s, my parachutes were made in the 60s, my car and bike in the 70s). So, chances are I'll mount the camera and give it at least a couple tries. Might be fun to then scan the negatives and "process" them in Photoshop. Cheers, old patrick p.s. I'd still like to use the refractor to make a Daguerreotype of the Moon. On 27 Feb 2009, at 09:01, Jerry Foote wrote:
Hi Patrick,
It's time to give up your addiction to acetic acid. Check this out: http://www.ast.cam.ac.uk/~ipswich/Telescope_making/Schmidt_CCD/Schmidt_CCD.h...
