Even at greatest eclipse totality is only 2 mins 40 secs, somewhere in Kentucky and as little as 1 min 40 sec at the Oregon coast. The Tetons sound like the most scenic place to be, but the Tetons are also subject to monsoon weather. That may be a given in August no matter where you go.
