Remember that neither Astromart nor Cloudy Nights guarantees any transactions, they just provide a venue. They will not intercede on your behalf if you are not satisfied. Always use PayPal if you want to be assured of getting your money back if a seller doesn't ship or it turns out to be a scam. There is a yearly fee to use Astromart. Cloudy Nights is free, as is eBay for buyers. Craigslist is probably the most risky, though there are very few CL astro listings in our area. KSL has the smallest audience and you will have people coming to your home, so bear that in mind. No matter where you buy or sell, be sure to note the feedback for the person you are dealing with. Negative feedback is a bad sign and those people should be avoided. Cloudy Nights has two buying/selling areas. Besides the Classifieds, there is an area called Swap & Shop, but that is restricted to members of 30 days or more, IIRC. I also will sometimes list items here on Utah-astronomy, to give locals a chance at something before I post it to a world-wide audience. I've had hundreds of transactions on Astromart... 99.9% trouble-free... The best and safest, in my opinion. Highly recommended. Linton
