Do you think shots taken with a polarizing filter, at various angles relative to the earth-sun line, might improve contrast, or is it thought that light from the gegenschien is completely unpolarized? Funny you mention that, as it's one of the photo documentation projects on the books for the November Kordylewski Cloud search from Mauna Kea. The K Cloud attempt during the total lunar eclipse had no positive outcome but that may be from my partner operating the camera/drive while I was 1/4mile away on the cliff edge shooting the eclipse. Gary was told where to aim, exposure length, filters to be used and shot in white light only ...... oh well.
