This might kind of explain what has happened to Meade in the last 10 years. http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/charts/chartdl.aspx?Symbol=MEAD&&ShowCh... If you ask me they have invested way too much money and effort into the new Lightswitch technology. That is my opinion but I'm entitled to it. The LX-200's are still out there but with poor customer service and even worse QC Celestron and Orion are getting to be much better choices. Steve

Howdy group,
Interestingly, no sooner had the thread here about Meade quieted down than one has started on another group I'm on.
Much of the talk is the same as was here but one guy asked a question that no one seems to have an answer for so I thought I'd post it here.
The guy posting the question lives in Australia and is having trouble reaching the Meade's service department via snail mail and is looking for an email address he could use.
But someone posted saying Meade insists on phone calls even though the guy is on the other side of the planet and would have to pay for the call.
Ok, I know that Meade isn't high on a lot of people's lists but that seems a bit unbelievable to me. Certainly there must be an email address for such uses.
Perchance does anyone here have an email address for Meade's service department?
Thanks,
