Today is the third new moon for 2008 and begins a new lunar month. Dark skies continue for another week. Venus, Mercury and Neptune are within a few degrees of each other before sunrise. Saturn is just past opposition. Mars is still visible. Tonight and this weekend are also the first of two 2008 Messier Marathon windows. The second is during the first week of April. There is a full Moon during the middle of March, washing out the traditional mid-March marathon date. - Kurt ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
