Messier marathons are pretty much in 2 stages. Morning and Evening Objects, you get about half before midnight then a 2-3 hour lull before you get the other half.
I've read though where some people are doing mini-marathons this year, say
30 to 50 objects. That doesn't necessarily mean an all nighter and still allows one to at least get a partial marathon in. Our weather really needs to improve (last night wasn't too bad).
