The Wheeler Farm site for next year's schedule will take another stab at having an urban astronomy site at a location other than traditional urban sidewalk astronomy sites. The sidewalk astronomy Harmon's parking lot approach has been very sucessful with the club due to the heavy walk-by traffic. Relocating some outreach parties from light-flooded parking lots to an off street location means that to maintain a similar level of attendence, more site advertising would need to be done. One outreach draw source would be public schools within 3 kilometers of Wheeler Farm. Another marketing possibility would be to use the off-season winter time to purchase or build an attractive large 10 x 15 water proof temporary sign that could be put up at Wheeler along 900 South on Wednesday night. The sign would say something like "Star party here Friday at 7pm". With respect to targeting school audiences for the summer astronomy season, one idea might be to distribute a box of the SLAS schedules to each school within 3 kilometers of Wheeler Farm, mailing or delivering themin April before school lets out.
