If setting-up a scope for the public, be ready for the question "which spot is Mercury?". There are several small, Mercury-sized sunspots currently on the solar disk. One I observed today is very round and has a particularly dark umbra, and about the right size. It may give Mercury some competition on Wednesday. I can't get out of work, but weather permitting, will have a filtered scope set-up outside my office in North Salt Lake to check on the progress every half hour or so. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
