Ian, don't feel too badly. We all have done the same thing thing at least once or twice! If nobody could deliver some loaner eyepieces, then remove your finder eyepiece from the finder and use it. Wrap some tape around the barrel until it fits your primary focuser. Better than nothing! If you don't have tape, just hand-hold it in the right position. Examine what you have on-hand, and find something that will work to hold the eyepiece in the focuser. Foam, bark, trash, paper, anything. We have walked in your shoes, brother. Hang in there, my friend! Enjoy the solitude and naked-eye and binocular views if you can't use the scope. It will still refresh your soul. And I almost guarantee you that you won't forget your eyepieces again! (Excluding myself as an example, lol.) C. On Sat, Mar 18, 2017 at 10:26 AM, Ian Glenn <root.ibg@gmail.com> wrote:
Just wondering if any fellow Utah astronomy lovers are out near Moab? I drove down here from SLC with 4 other people and my 6" dob but forgot all my eyepieces!
If anyone is willing to loan (or sell on the cheap?) even an old plossl that would be amazing! Long shot but I thought I'd ask!
Thank you!
