This is the most successful NASA expedition in a long time. It should encourage those of us who believe in space exploration. It's an amazing example of advanced technology, something that probably would not have been possible for a non-crewed probe even 10 years ago. In comparing the Google Mars image of Gale Crater with the images of the landing site, it was fairly easy to pick out exactly where it landed.
