[Utah-astronomy] Ealing scope - misc repair needed?

I used the Ealing (#33 on the manufacturer's stamp on the side) for a few minutes at last night star's party. One of the Dec control buttons (north travel) on the hand paddle was non-responsive. Dave tells me that if the Dec control wheel is tightened down "superhard" that then the paddle wheel will then respond and move the scope.
