I was contacted by the Astronomical League to help a local astronomer's wife whose husband recently died of a massive heart attack at age 52. He left her with two very nice telescopes including a very nice 12.3" Dob, complete with built in cooling fans, a Magellan Star finder and other nice options. The custom wood working is very nice, very clean and obviously done by a pro. They also have a clean Meade 127 Cat, stock condition and in good shape with tripod and hand controller. The widow, Beckie, is looking to sell the whole lot for $1,900. If you are interested please contact me and I will get you in touch with Beckie, who lives in Roy, to take a look at the equipment. I have seen the equipment and it is all in good shape. Her husband, Mickey Davis, obviously cherished and took care of his scopes. Mickey was also a member of OAS for at least a while. Here is a list of what they are looking to sell. - Telescope, 12.5 Dob with Magellan Star Finder, customer made mount, very clean, very good condition, obviously well taken care of - Telescope, Meade 127 Cat, good shape - EPs: 30mm 2" QX - EP: 14mm 1.25 Ultra wide - EP: 8.8 mm 1.25 Ultra wide - EP: 18MM Wide angle - EP: 26 MM Plossel (Meade) - EP: Orion Epic 5.1 - Meade Camera adapter - Meade, "My Sky" Handheld star finder Contact me and I will get you in touch with Beckie to see the equipment.
