Rich, I am familiar with that particular mirror. ;o) A simple 3-point cell, or central ring support, will support it adequately. The UO cells are lightweight yet well-engineered. Do you have the tube yet? Bryan Greer is making a secondary holder and spider for me right now, and the 3-week lead time is killing me! (but worth the wait). Glad to know you are putting that fantastic optic to good use! Congrats! On 8/18/10, Richard Tenney <retenney@yahoo.com> wrote:
A little late to the party here -- all these fabulous images of late -- we have some serious photographic talent in Utah these days! I'm way impressed with all of you (you too, Joe!). Keep 'em coming...!
Question:
I'm finally getting around to putting a scope together for a 10" f/4.5 mirror I purchased 10 years ago from Vaughn Parsons. I opted for a protostar flocked tube and secondary. Looking for ideas for a good quality mirror cell that's not too expensive (one vendor wants $700!). Ideas / suggestions? University Optics has one for about $60 IIRC -- has anyone used one of these with success?
/R
