Rob...mahalo nui loa, Excellent shots of Comet Holmes. Have you submitted these to SpaceWeather yet? You should if you haven't already. http://spaceweather.com/submissions/index.php Again, thanks for the pics, Dave Bennett On Oct 31, 2007, at 6:57 PM, Rob Ratkowski Photography wrote:

finally we were able to make a trip to the summit despite the NOAA prediction of 25mph winds. We found the winds at 5mph, temps in the mid 40's with great transparency. Comet Homes was to rise a bit after 6:30 but we have a lava hill that blocks views so we see things an hour later. I did manage to get a few photos w/ a William Optics 555mm Fluorite Doublet and later about 9:15 w/ my C9.25. At 9:30 the cloud fog descended and home we went.
Photos uploaded are WO80FD http://gallery.utahastronomy.com/v/rob/ e17P-WO80FD+5003.jpg.html and C9.25 http:// gallery.utahastronomy.com/v/rob/e17P-C925.jpg.html
A good time was had by all, Aloha Rob
