I always like celebrating days that end in 'y', although I can no longer celebrate those when I have to work the next day, except on rare occasions... Thanks, I'll see you all tonight! On Fri, Dec 21, 2012 at 2:06 PM, Rodger C. Fry <rcfry@comcast.net> wrote:
Mike, I think there will be several people to help you set up including myself. You don't have to worry about a red light flashlight at Harmon's star parties because with the bright parking lot lights, a flash light is not a negative issue.
We survived the end of the world! That alone is reason to celebrate. What will we use next for an excuse?

Hey guys, I'm planning on coming to the Star Party tonight, even got an end of the world T-Shirt from TeeFury as a gift today...
Anyway, I have a few questions about tonight. I have already mentioned that I will be setting up my telescope really for the first time. As I don't want to take too much of anyone's time helping me, I figured I'd ask about what I can do in advance to expedite the process. As I see it now, I can have my 'scope out of the bag and set up on the tripod in about 5 minutes or so. Anything else I should bring? I don't hve a good night vision friendly flashlight at the moment, but outside of that, i don't kno what else I should bring.
Also, where in the Harmon's parking lot will everyone be setting up, and where will everyone in the group be parking?
Besides that, I'll just have to ask questions when I get there.
Thanks,
