We have a family cabin in the area and in reality the population I've talked to are quite mixed. Those involved in recreation and tourism fear the impact to visitors. Others do want the jobs but they are well aware these are not long term jobs and there is a feeling of what next after the mine ends. Brent makes excellent points. If you go for the ecconomic factor, you will have to include ONLY those who make their living from the park itself.
