I generally don't get excited about low-latitude aurora in September, since the low latitude aurora season doesn't start until November or December. But here's what this spot did in Park City on August 27 during its last rotation cycle - http://spaceweather.com/aurora/images2005/24aug05/Arrigo1.jpg If there is another major X-class flare from this spot during the next, let's say 7 days - a corresponding CME should be well-positioned to hit Earth.
