I finally took the time to look up the details on the transit. I am sure that I will be watching it, assuming that we don't have clouds. We discussed it last night at the OAS meeting as well. I think that I will bring a telescope to work and set up in the parking lot for a little while to share the experience with my co-workers. I will then head up to Doug Say's auto shop and spend the rest of the time viewing it with OAS. This is a long transit. The transit a few years ago was only a couple of hours. This one lasts almost 5 hours. From Layton, it could be visible at 4th contact, if you don't have a hill or mountain to the west. It is supposed to finish at 5:08. Sunset is supposed to be 5:16. Dave
