These are indeed great images - thanks, Howard. I take exception with the artist's statement, "The portraits are real, not painted. Aesthetic decisions are made with respect for accuracy as well as for the power of the image." Perhaps "painted" isn't the correct word, but all photography is rendered in some fashion. Perhaps he simply meant that he begins with a "real" image rather than inventing something in his head. I prefer the B&W images to his colored pics. Regardless, it's fantastic work and I'm duly impressed.
