Our ancestors may have been shooting at each other.

I had one distant relation who was hanged as a Confederate spy. Most of my other relations survived the war and were hanged as horse thieves instead.

I may have to check the SLAS constitution, but I think that even southerners are permitted.

Well, I lived in Massachusetts even longer, and I'm pretty sure northeastern liberal/vegetarians are excluded even more forcefully ;-)
