I'd wear a beanie cap with a propeller on top, for free.
The Tower Theater just ran a movie (I forget the name), they billed it as movie that was so bad it was good, and it was filmed in Utah.
I'm not above wearing a tinfoil hat. Didn't Mel Gibson wear one in the movie Signs? He got paid loads for it. Count me in.
BTW- my son will do it for free, but it's a package deal and I cost.

Guys, she DID offer to pay, and in any case, I wouldn't expect to give anyone access to anything (backyard observatories or gear or your kids or whatever) without explicit permission. I find it rather amusing that some of you might feel uptight about having "stuff" show up in a film, however low-budget or wacky it might be; sounds kinda fun to me... /R

I'd like to also remind all that this is a for-profit "feature film." If SLAS property were to be used, it should be paid for and not offered for free. I understood that we only do that for public schools. Similarly, if I were inclined to offer the use of my personal equipment for such a project, I would expect payment for both the equipment and my time. Ms. Clemenza did write that they wished to rent equipment, so they are not expecting to use the stuff for free.

We might be well served to rethink offering up SPOC or SLAS equipment as a prop for what sounds like a low budget ET movie. We don't wear pointy aluminum foil hats to SLAS meetings and we haven't started chanting around the campfire at SPOC as yet.I'm not too enthused about the idea of having a facility I spent five years building being used as a backdrop in an oddball movie.but hey, that's just me.If members want to offer up their personal equipment , more power to them. sounds like Ms.Clemenza is looking for an oddball home made scope anyway.peace, good tunes and clear skies.R.
