I'm not getting up any hopes from these pre-release teasers. (Well, at least I trying to restrain myself. -:) Few of the general public realize that over 1/2 the biomass on the continents is located below ground and consists of Archean anaerobic life forms driven there by the caustic (to them) oxygen in Earth's atmosphere. The implication of this is that if life exists on Mars or Jovian moons, it's subsurface, driven there by changes early in their planetary or moon's atmosphere. Going there and drilling is going to be the only way to find out. If this teaser does prove out, hopefully it will speed up the funding process for NASA's Deep-Drill Lander. At present, the Deep Drill Lander is only an idea on JPL's drawing boards. http://mars3.jpl.nasa.gov/missions/future/futureMissions.html\ http://mars3.jpl.nasa.gov/missions/images/deep-drill-lander.jpg - Peace Canopus56 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
