Interesting to hear about rooms being booked already. I heard from someone a while back that some folks in Kanarraville don't think it's a big deal. I have spoken with someone from the Kanarraville city council. He took it seriously enough that he had the city hire a surveyor to check the horizons from where the centerline will pass through town. Happily he found the horizon in the direction of the eclipse is low enough to allow observers to see 1st, 2nd and 3rd contacts. Here's a site which allows you to click on your location and it will provide observing data for the eclipse for that site: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEgoogle/SEgoogle2001/SE2012May20Agoogle.html patrick On 06 Sep 2011, at 16:18, erikhansen@TheBlueZone.net wrote:
Hi All,
I booked a hotel room in Cedar City for the eclipse in May. A few are all booked up, so just as a reminder, now is probably the time to make reservations.
