Wow, what a great session we had yesterday! Charlie, Jay, Josh, Jeff, and I attended. Charlie and I agreed that the "J's" definitely outnumbered us. We need to get Chuck out so that we will have a "full-house"; 3 - J's and 2 C's. Okay, that was lame, so I'll stick to an ATM report. Charlie brought the mirror cell complete with a double sling setup for his 13" project. The double sling really works, as the mirror is supported well with freedom to move, but is rock-solid in side-to-side movement. I am seriously considering updating my current single sling setup after seeing how well Charlie's works. Jay brought plans for a new chair which looks like a great design. He also brought 2 - 4.5" blank and a 6" blank. He will start on the 4.5" blanks first and then work up to the 6". Jay also show-and-told some new books he has, I was especially impressed with the book by Sue French. Josh worked his 4" project. He is now finished grinding and it is ready for polishing. We ran out of time before we could pour a pitch lap for it. Jeff had a good time learning just what ATM'ing is all about and we all enjoyed him being with us. Looking forward to telescope projects with him in the future. I basically ran around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to keep up with all that was going on! I had a great time. My current project is an 8" f6.2. Though I did not work it on Saturday, I have been figuring it in the last week and it is currently testing at 1/9th wave. I am shooting for better than that.
