My sincere compliments to you, Seth, the Clark Planetarium and Fox for doing what you did. Fox news did a bit on it and showed the packed IMAX theatre. I can just imagine how awesome COSMOS was on a 70mm screen. Maybe you should look into showing the episodes regularly in the IMAX theatre :) More importantly, it did my heart good to see the packed theatre - and to add a panel discussion on the future of science was brilliant. I wish I had known and could have been there, but then I'd just take up a seat. The panel would have been speaking to the choir in my case. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Seth Jarvis" <SJarvis@slco.org> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, June 9, 2014 8:01:50 AM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] COSMOS finale SPOILER: It was wonderful. BTW - we had FOX13's permission to put the HD live signal from FOX on our IMAX screen last night. We had a panel discussion that included FOX 13's General Manager about the future of science programming on commercial networks. Packed house. SRO. We also were able to turn off the sound during the commercials and continue the panel discussion during the breaks. COSMOS looked amazing on a 70-foot screen, and the finale was awesome. Please, if anyone posts about it, put the word "SPOILER" in the subject line. I'd sure appreciate it!
