Ann,
Sounds like you want your cake and eat it too, ha ha. I hope your daughter is enjoying Brazil. Perhaps Jerry Foote and Stephen should get an astro society going. As I recall, Cedar City has an amateur group but I don't no if St George does. St George and Snow Canyon would offer good Star Gazing. The skies are free of dust thanks to all the rain. Roger Butz and I hosted a private SPOC Star Party last night for a friends family. The sky was pretty good, I was impressed that the young kids where more knowledgeable of the night sky than many of the adults. Our school outreach seems to be paying off. BTW, Kudos to Don Colton for another great Bryce Canyon/SLAS Astronomical Festival. I heard all had a great time. Erik Sounds wonderful, Stephen! I love living in the city, but I would also
love to live where I could see the night sky as you do.
I am wondering if you know about any public star parties held at Snow Canyon? Is there a schedule or someone who is in charge?
