Mr. Garrett contacted me as President of the Salt Lake Astronomical Society and I am posting his e-mail to this board. Contact him directly if you are interested in anything he has to sell. I checked and Mr. Garrett senior was not a member of SLAS. That is just a point of interest. Its just a little sad/surprising to find someone so well-equipment not affiliated (maybe the Ogden Club??) I also told Lewis about KSL.com, Cloudy Nights and Astromart. If anyone can think of any other options to help him liquidate these assets, let him know. Hello, My father who was an avid amateur astronomer recently passed away. As executor of his estate, I am looking for some assistance in selling his equipment. He had a Mead LX 200 16 inch SCT including mount and tripod. He also had a backyard observatory with a large Takahashi refractory scope on a pier mount and CCD imaging camera. He also owned a 25% interest in a remotely accessible mountain observatory in New Mexico. I am writing to ask if you have any advice on how best to sell this equipment. I see a classified ad section on your website but there does not seem to be much activity there. I would like to target our efforts towards people who know what this equipment is. Thanks you in advance for any help you can provide. Lewis R.
