I bagged about 30 double stars on my driveway in a mag 4+ sky Sat and Wed nights. Double-star observing is more forgiving than deep-sky observing. I usually observe double stars when the moon is out.The Pleiades(M45) and the Beehive cluster(M44) look great under an urban sky. The Orion nebula always looks good from my driveway too. I also like to learn how to use new equipment in the city before going to a dark site. Back in Sept, Richard and I observed the Veil nebula with an OIII filter before the nearly full moon came up. I think an OIII filter is required for city observing Debbie
