And Brent, that's how it should be. I don't fault anyone for their choice of location. We had the additional pleasure of having Christopher Go in our party. Christopher is a widely recognized planetary photographer. Sharing this with him, my wife Bruno, my son Rob and his wife, 3 of my grandkids, and Rodger and his wife was a wonderful experience. It was the right choice for me. For the record we were right on a surveyed centerline location. On Mon, May 21, 2012 at 2:10 PM, Brent Watson <brentjwatson@yahoo.com>wrote:
Bryce would have been a good place to watch the eclipse, but the centerline is better. I was able to see the sun off center just after second contact, and just before third contact. The bonus is getting to see the moon centered on the sun.
All of that being said, I had more fun with the shadows and the otherworldly eeriness of the lighting. now that was strange!
The flight was fulfilling, the eclipse was good, the shadows and lighting were fun, but the company of an old friend, Richard Brady, and my son Chris were tops.
