I haven't caught the Channel 4 weather for a while. Is Todd Gross actually in Utah doing the weather or is it a feed from New England? To read his scope reviews he has a serious amount of equipment. He has reviewed over 70 scopes and it appears from the reviews he still has many of the scopes. The early morning broadcast has apparently been doing tryouts for the last couple of months (or they're just doing short-term contracts while the station gets sold). Anyway a weatherman named Todd Gross has been on several times, including the last couple of weeks. He's a familiar face to me, since he was on the air in Boston for many years while I was there. But of interest to this list is the fact that he's a very serious astronomer (http://www.weatherman.com). I don't recall ever seeing him at my old club meetings or at any star parties, so he is apparently the more solitary type. But he's pretty serious, nonetheless. Don't know if he'll be at the station for good, or if this is just a drive-by, but there might occasionally be some decent science on the weather.
