Hi Chuck, I saw a number of bright persids mostly the orangish Kim described, I glimpsed slightly more of the dimmer perseids than the sporadics you described. I also caught the tail end of the one Richard described, it did cast alot of light! It is hard on the neck to scan 360 degrees. I guess we need a report from people who got a group together to watch all sky quadrants. I loooked mostly NE, my dog did get to chase quite a few cats away.They do like to test her. We both had a good couple hours, the bright perseids I saw made it worthwhile.
