Thanks, Dave, that's a very generous offer. I may take you up on it. You can't recall if the seeing/contrast was perhaps limited by atmospheric conditions when you used it? A good high-end eyepiece will be maximized for contrast anyway, though the high-end, wide-field eyepieces tend to have way too many elements to work well with the Coronado scopes; plus the wide field is utterly wasted. I agree with you that Plossls and even Kellners seem to work the best with the Coronados; I have had some very good views with orthos as well. But that gold/brass plating on the CEMAX set... *shiny*... ;o) On Mon, Mar 15, 2010 at 2:06 PM, Dunn, David <David.Dunn@supervalu.com>wrote:
Hi Chuck,
OAS has one CEMAX eyepiece with our Coronado. I haven't used it for a while. I know that at the time, I didn't feel that it had enough added value to purchase any additional CEMAX eyepieces. We mostly just use normal Plossls.
If you would like me to, I could arrange to get the eyepiece so that you could take a look through it.

Specifically, does anyone have experience using the CEMAX eyepieces and Barlow lens with their Coronado solar telescope? Thanks. _______________________________________________
