The word from APOD on Facebook is that their servers in the DC area are still down from the severe storms that downed so many trees and above ground power lines, the repair crews are few and far between, and last I read from Pepco (a major electricity utility out there) they have outages on tens of thousands of customers, individuals and corporations, that won't be powered back until July 6th. It saddens me that so many of the people who live in DC, with all the poverty and crime, downtrodden by congress, not given state's rights or equal representation, and they will be out of power for July 4th. Many of my DC friends have been posting that they feel forgotten by the nation even in the nation's capital. Maybe we should start a "look how many stars you can see when the power is out, DC!" star gazing campaign? APOD is back online now, they must have found a work-around. I can't get into APOD. Is anyone else having problems with it?
