Several years ago I was out near Lakeside in a spot I like and was disturbed by some guys in the back of a pickup racing around shooting holes in the mountain. My Marine Corps experience allowed me to know what a bullet sounds like when it passes near by. It was a very, very unpleasant evening. I did not return until I had my carry conceal permit and now, I never go out to any remote site unarmed. While that may upset some of my more liberal friends I can assure you I am "probably" not packing at SPOC. Steve

I usually hear the ice cubes in their highball clink before they get too close.
In all seriousness, does anyone worry about being at some of these remote sites alone at night? I know enough target shooting goes on near the pit that I might be nervous...

But a hungry cougar will.
They sound like coyotes when up close... ;-) _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy
