This weather has everyone on edge. People are starving for photons and Ive developed a taste for the really ancient ones like those that have been in flight 30 million years or more. But lately even the eight-minute-old photons are really scarce. Since neither science nor modern religion can do anything about the weather, I propose we resort to an old pagan religious practice and appoint a witchdoctor. This should be a new position as a board member and would involve wearing the skin of a road-killed badger and waving around a rattle made from the skull of a skunk. Oh and one final duty. In the event the weather does not improve, the witchdoctor will be promoted to the position of human sacrifice in order to appease the angry weather gods. I nominate Patrick Wiggins.
