[Utah-astronomy] "Meteorite trail" redux - and partial consensus

The alleged Australian meteorite trail discussed here was also featured on the Astronomy Picture of the Day for 7 Dec 2004. There was a discussion there to attempt to come to a consensus. The discussion generated 118 pages (yes, apparently - some people really do have too much time on their hands) and a partial consensus was reached - that it "may" be a flying insect.
