there is a recent low budget film of the "War of the Worlds" that is true to the original... ie, takes place in England in the right time period.... or a psychological thriller "The Forgotten"..... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patrick Wiggins" <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> To: "Utah Astronomy" <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 01, 2006 11:53 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Re: Movie suggestions sought

Thanks, Kurt. I very much appreciate the suggestion but, as Chuck pointed out, I did a Science Movie Night based on 2001 a while back.
I liked Chuck's suggestion of The Day the Earth Stood Still so when I met with the lady in charge of the program today I suggested we screen that one.
With all that's going on in the world just now, it seems somehow fitting to show a movie that touches on how the UN "handles" a crisis.
I was supposed to have heard by now if the suggestion was accepted but have not.
Stay tuned.
Thanks to all who made suggestions.
Patrick
