Hi all, It truly was beautiful. I snapped a couple of shots with my Nikon last night. One with a 300mm F/2.8 VR lens with a TC20EII teleconverter: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=1185 and one with a wider angle 28-70mm F/2.8 Nikkor that also shows my neighbor's US flag. http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=1191 These were just reduced in size for posting and gamma stretched a bit. They are basically as they came off the camera. I also got some great data on M101 last night, but that one will require some processing time before it is ready for sharing. It reminded me of the Turkish flag. Is it any wonder they used this symbol for their national identity? Truly an awe-inspiring event.
