Both Heavens-above.com and Starry Night show tonight's ISS pass at 18:20 - 18:23. Are your sure of your time?
Seth, thanks for catching the error. I really appreciate it. I had an bad time zone setting at CalcSky.com. Tonights overpass is at 18:22 between civil twi at 17:23 and astro Twilight at 19:00. At -0.7 mag, it probably will be visible. Friday 13 January 2006 Appears 18h18m04s 2.8m az:312.6d NW Transit 18h22m45s -0.7m az: 25.9d NNE h:24.8d dist:742.4km alt:346.4km Disappears 18h23m40s -0.6m az: 57.2d ENE h:20.9d The transit will not be near the Moon. The track begins in the NW in Hercules, proceeds to near the zenith in And, and then is overwhelmed by Moon light near Orion, and exits in the east through Orion. Saturday's mag -2.1 overpass also between civil and astro twi. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006. Appears 18h42m43s 3.1m az:307.6d NW Transit 18h47m36s -2.1m az: 35.0d NE h:68.3d Disappears 18h48m10s -1.9m az: 96.7d E h:49.7d Close to Vega 18h45m02.04s Separation=0.109° Position Angle=85.6° Magnitude=0.0mag. My apologies for the erroneous prior post. - Canopous56(Kurt) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
