What is this? I can't figure out what the aparatus is at the "front" end. Some kind of sub-aperture stop? Is this a folded-optical-path instrument? Is the fork from a searchlight assembly? Wrong construction to be an aircraft nose-wheel. Bruce never fails to amaze me with his inventiveness.
