A laptop with a bad battery will drain an external battery very quickly. The external battery will waste its juice trying to charge up the in computer battery which in turn won't hold it. If you have a weak or old battery you really should replace it. It you can't, then pull it out (if your computer allows it) and run it just on the external battery without the internal. You can try that one at home. Hi Kelly, Count me in. Could you please charge up those batteries? I still haven't calculated how much juice my computer will need, but will try to do it soon. I have something I can use as a homemade dew shield. Many thanks, Joe
Just a thought Joe, but could it be that the battery in your laptop is getting old and not holding a charge? When the battery in mine was new a couple of years ago I'd get 6 or 7 hours of use on a charge but I've noticed lately I'm down to an hour or so less than that.
