Finally, indoctrination I can get behind, ha ha.
I saw the NASA broadcast, good short speech recognizing 400 years of astronomy, Obama then looked at the Double Double (I thought light pollution at Harmon's was bad!), I get the feeling the ambient light was too bright for him to see anything. I hope they had real telescopes there, IE refractors (kidding again). I sure hope he heard from the Dark Sky Association, that would have been the real teaching moment. A Clear, Windy night on tap for the capital! Too bad for the light
pollution....maybe the wind will cause a massive power outage :)
